The journey through Technopreneurship

2nd Encounter – seed and self-mastery

dated 14th of february, valentine’s day. On this day the class had a discussion about the curriculum and what self-mastery is.

The curriculum is based on seed, an acronym for self-mastery, Environmental mastery, enterprise mastery, and development of business plan. i believe that these 4 qualities are important to make a good technopreneur. I did not expect these to be existent because I thought that being a technopreneur would be very easy, but while I was listening to the facilitator and making this reflection, I was able to understand why the SEED curriculum is effective and even further, it shed light to me that there are things to be followed in order for me to become a successful technopreneur. Becoming a technopreneur is very hard even just thinking of an idea takes up lots of time, it is amazing that some people are able to generate an idea with in just minutes or hours, I think that I will be able to achieve that when I am able to master the SEED course model.

Starting with the first aspect of seed, when we talk about self-mastery, it goes way beyond just using our iq smart. It’s about understanding ourselves on a deeper level and being able to navigate the challenges of life with grit. Our facilitator emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence (EQ) and adversity quotient (AQ) in addition to intellectual intelligence (IQ). They explained how EQ allows us to connect with others and understand their emotions, while AQ helps us bounce back from setbacks and take risks. What really struck me is the idea that a self-mastered person isn’t confined to one type of personality. Instead, they can seamlessly switch between being competitive and efficient, cheerful and social, and authoritative when necessary. It’s like having this toolbox of skills and traits that you can draw upon depending on the situation. And being whole-brained, using both logical and creative thinking, is a big part of that. But perhaps the most important aspect is having a clear vision of who you are and what you want to achieve. That sense of purpose is what drives you forward, even when things get tough.
